Welcome to the Datama Homepage documentation! Here, you’ll find details on how to navigate and configure your account for an optimal experience.


1. Header

The header is always accessible, allowing you to return to the homepage (by clicking on the Datama logo) and manage your profile.

2. User Preferences

Datama allows you to customize your experience at both Use Case level and profile level.
For example, you can modify here the color palette and default language at the profile level and will have this settings set for each of your new workbook. (existing workbooks will have to be manually changed)

2.1 Workbook Style

Language & Colors

  • Analysis Language: Available in English and French (default: English).
    • Change per Use Case: Settings > Analysis Language
    • Change globally: Profile icon > User Preferences > Analysis Language
  • Color Palette for Plots:
    Choose from Grayscale, Scattered, or Custom.
    The Custom option lets you manually define colors for each graph.

Customization Steps:

  1. Select “Custom” in Colors Palette for Plots.
  2. Click the palette to edit colors.
  3. Select the graph you want to modify.
  4. Choose a new color by clicking on a graph section.
  5. The change is saved automatically.
  • Reverse Palette: Swap colors used for growth or loss representation.

Number Display

  • Compact Numbers: Display large numbers with units (e.g., 1,234 → 1.23k).
  • Force Rounding: Overrides smart rounding, keeping a fixed decimal format.

Each solution has specific settings, see for each solution below the specific settings:

4. Workbook Management

Datama allows you to organize and manage workbooks efficiently.
Access workbooks from the “Recent” section or within folders in your workspace.

Managing Workbooks

  • Recent Section: Displays recently accessed workbooks.
    • Edit, delete, or move workbooks using the contextual menu.
  • Workbooks Page: Provides an overview of all your workbooks.

Folders To better organize your workbooks, create folders in the “Workbooks” section.

5. Preset Workbooks

If you’ve never created a workbook before, use the Preset Workbook feature to generate one with your data.

Steps to Create a Preset Workbook

  1. Select your data source and follow the steps.
  2. Choose to open advanced settings or compute directly in Compare.
